What the exam looks like
Three parts: multiple choice, true/false, then short written answers in IRAC. The written part is worth the most per question, so practice the format until it is automatic.
| Part | Points | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Multiple choice8 questions on rules and short fact patterns. | 40 (40%) | 25 min |
| 2 · True / false6 statements. Most traps are one word wrong. | 18 (18%) | 10 min |
| 3 · Written (IRAC)3 short fact patterns. Name the issue, state the rule, apply it, conclude. | 42 (42%) | 40 min |
Your study plan
- Find weak spots: take the mock exam cold, timed. Note every part under 80%.
- Drill them: use Practice on your weakest topic until you get 5 in a row right.
- Night before: read Main Points and the Traps tab, then flip the flashcards once.
Exam-day rules
- Closed book. You get the rule sheet for the written part only.
- Answer in IRAC. A right conclusion with no rule earns little.
- Watch the clock: about 13 minutes per written question.
