Terms of use

Last updated October 12, 2026

These terms are the deal between you and Memlo when you use Memlo. "We" means Memlo. "You" means the person using it. By signing in or paying, you agree to them. We wrote them in plain English on purpose; if something is unclear, email support@memlo.study or use Send feedback in the menu.

What Memlo is

Memlo turns the class materials you upload (slides, review sheets, notes) into a study kit: a study sheet, practice questions, flashcards and a mock exam in your exam's format. An AI writes each kit, and a second AI pass checks it.

Your account

  • You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure; what happens in your Memlo account is on you.
  • You must be at least 13. To pay for a plan, you must be 18 or have a parent or guardian's permission.
  • One person per account. Don't share your account or resell kits.

What you upload

  • You keep ownership of what you upload and the kits made from it.
  • Only upload materials you have the right to use, like handouts your class gave you or your own notes. Don't upload other people's private information.
  • You let us process your uploads to make and improve your kits. Our Privacy page explains where they go.

AI can be wrong

Kits are written by AI. We check them, but mistakes can slip through. Compare anything important with your class materials, and ask your professor when something doesn't match. Memlo is a study tool; we can't promise any grade or result.

Plans and payment

  • Free: your first kit is a free Deep kit, then 1 Standard kit a month.
  • Memlo Plus costs $9.99 a month and renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Settings. Plus stays on until the end of the month you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • The exam-week pass costs $4.99, lasts 7 days from when you buy it, and does not renew.
  • Each plan's limits are listed on the Memlo Plus page. "Unlimited" means normal studying; we may pause use that looks automated or abusive.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Payments aren't refundable for time you've already used, except where the law says otherwise. If something went wrong (a kit failed, you were charged twice), tell us and we'll make it right.
  • If we change a price, we'll tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel first.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload or copy Memlo, get around its limits, or use it to make anything illegal or harmful. We may suspend accounts that do. You can stop using Memlo anytime, and you can delete your account in Settings.

The legal part

  • Memlo is provided "as is." As far as the law allows, we don't give warranties about it, and we aren't liable for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the problem.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, USA.
  • We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using Memlo after that means you accept the new terms.
